This technology calculates light reflection, refraction, and scattering based on the physical properties of light and material characteristics, making material and lighting effects more realistic. Additionally, AI can generate corresponding PBR material textures, extracting key material properties such as roughness and metallicity, while providing features like automatic tiling, surface detail extraction, and material blending to help create seamless textures that enhance model realism.

The new environment panel supports IBL (Image-Based Lighting) images that can capture and reproduce real-world lighting environments, making the shadows and lighting effects of 3D objects in scenes more lifelike.

Users can use environment images as a skybox to provide background settings that make scenes appear more complete and realistic while adjusting sunset positions and intelligently tuning environment-related parameters.

Diffusion AI 

SketchUp Assistant integrates multiple AI agents to provide users with a robust toolset. This plugin allows users to issue commands in natural language within SketchUp, enabling AI to assist in creating and modifying models. The AI can intelligently recognize images and spatial relationships to expedite the design process; it can also quickly select models from a library of over five million 3D assets that meet user requirements for placement. Furthermore, users can have the AI design plugins and their pages while training custom AI agents based on personal needs.

Users can upload specifications or design briefs for the AI to check compliance with requirements and suggest modifications.
